can someone please link me to where i need to be for instructions on how to replace fork seals ?

This thread has a link to a really good walkthrough.  I used it to replace my fork seals.  I made my "special" allen wrench tool a little differently than he did.  You can search the forum to see a few different designs.

Here's my "monster" allen wrench.  I believe it's 2 10-inch bolts (the longest 15/16 bolts I could find) connected with a joiner, two lock washers and two nuts.  Also has loctite epoxy in the joiner.

unless he has the 04+ forks. then that home made tool doesn't apply.

The tool applies to older bikes, so I think you meant 04- (as in '04 or earlier)?

then - in that case; as a consequence; in those circumstances.

I have a '98, and the tool definitely applies.

I made, and used that EXACT tool on my '95, worked like a charm.
