after riding with my dad, i couldnt hear my exhaust over his gsxr, is there any way i can get a good loud exhaust?

I hate riding with people when I can't hear my own bike. You forget how much you depend on hearing your motor when you're shifting and everything else. My bike has a vance and hines that is decently loud. there are a couple options and any of them will make your bike considerably louder not to mention faster and smoother if you rejet and get a new air filter

your exactly right, when i was riding with my dad he has a 98 gsxr 600 srad with full voodoo exhaust it sounds so sexy, and when i got to ride it i felt unstoppable im a fairly new rider, but have a good bit of experience with dirt bikes and four wheelers, i hit 95 on a straight away, the power band on the bike it intense, and when i let off the throttle my dad passed me on my gs going 95 lol

I used to have a yosi pipe from a cbr 600 on my gs,it fit with minimal modification and sounded good!

so it was loud and sounded good? what kind of jetting would i have to do, i am also probably going to get a k&n filter, would both of these add a bit of hp? i like speed and for what it is, the bike is quick, but after riding my dads gsxr, i fell in love haha

Don't ride it too much, you'll start to get sour on the GSs 40hp haha. Just wait it out until your dad upgrades and snag his 600. That's how I get some good stuff  :thumb: I love those SRADs too!

well i dont think he will upgrade, if anything he will sell it, he buys or trades stuff, then sells or trades and makes profit, thats what he does, if anything ill try to buy it off of him haha, he sold me the gs, and since i got it i been trying to fix it up a little bit, once winter comes i have alot of shaZam! to take care of, if you check out my post about a winter build you will see what it looks like, and my plans for it, thanks everyone

I know your delima very well. The problem I have is there is a lot of pipes out there, well some, that will make your bike louder but man I have be honest with aI L2 it sounds like a Buddha loves you Tractor! So maybe your hearing likes are different and maybe you don't care be be aware of what it will sound likes before you buy. You will have to upgrade jets and the aircleaner is highly recommended if not mandetory. And yes there is a minimal HP gain.

Try dropping down to 4 Oreos and set your pilot screw 3 turns out.

You could buy a set of these, there all the rage, all the kiddies are buying them. Latest rage in form over function.

What part of PA? I live in pittsburgh. Not having a real exhaust isn't legal, but unlikely it'll cause you any problems. My XB is as loud as can be, and as long as you don't go crazy when you're on the road you're not usually bothered.

When mine was straight piped nobody looked twice, except for a cop who was having a bad day and tagged 'improper exhaust' onto a speeding ticket.

i live ion lancaster, and fryz what kind of pipes are those? are they on a gs? instead of 2 into 1 its kinda like a true duel exhaust? how did you mount them?

Meh, it's just a knock off of seamax's (yet not nearly as awesome). Technically I don't believe it can count as a 'true dual' since the h-pipe stays intact.

Try this, it works beautifully. Sounds just like the civic it came off of, just a civic at 11k rpm's.  O0
