i hate when they put 2 rbt's just down the road from one and other..... i get them on milton rd and then on the western fwy.

its like ffs you just made me blow 2 k's down the street and iam clean so now you make me blow again.... what you think i had a drink in this time?  at 5am on residential strip? and to top it off after being held up in 2 lines of traffic for 10 minutes each iam now late for work.

Normally the sole roadsides let bikes go - well, in my experience anyway. I have been pulled up by them though on occassion, during a blitz. Had some pimply-face still-in-the-academy guy as my bloke. Gloves off. Helmet off. Balaclava off (winter). Said to him... you know, if I was drunk I wouldn't be able to balance on the bike to ride it (trying to give him / plant an idea not to pull up bike riders when he graduates wink wink). I know, just doing what I'm told. In the course, he also checked the license. When done I made it a point to put all my gear on slowly, meticulously, to hold up everyone behind me. Cause by then all cars in front where well and truly gone - most had been done and released by the time I got my head gear off - and the cars behind were waiting.

In case you're wondering about those Blitzes... the cops have Breath Test Quotas to meet. And while it could work out to X a day, they don't bother with that. So once a month they grab the bins from the station and head out to some location and get most of their monthly quota in one hit. Alternatively, it's Academy Training.

In a room in that station is a whiteboard with the Quota written at the top and Done / To-Do numbers written below it. So at any time some Senior Sargent, OIC (Officer In Charge) or whatnot from head office or wherever can see how the station's performance is going with RBT.

I am curious though... where about's on Milton Rd were they? Near the park where they normally put the radar trap?

Ocassionally, they'll block the Ipswich M'Way at Goodna where it's real wide. They set up Witches Hats up into Gailes. You think it's roadworks. Filter to one lane. Come around the corner and Blammo. Gotcha. Tooo late to take the Gailes Exit.

Also, at Annerly, out front of Annerly Police Station on Ipswich Rd. Round the corner, top the hill and Hello.

The biggest puzzle yet for me is... inbound on Centenary. After the bridge over the Brisbane River and up to the Bus Stop is all 80 zone. From a 100 down to 80 then back to 90. The cops sit at the Bus Stop. No radar visible. And will shoot off into the traffic and get select people. What I don't know is... WHERE is their radar trap for this one?

It wasn't the plasma tvs on the back seat that had them suspicious?  :icon_lol:

I have never been kept longer than 5 mins on the bike when pulled over.

I had reciepts for those..............I think :icon_confused:
If you see a drunk behind the wheel, kick them in the balls from me.

I was just informed by a member of the Queensland Police Service... "We as cops have never and will never check or question anyone's helmets".

Of course, he Could be talking about Himself and those He knows.

Also, regarding helmets from the EU with the EU standards... "EU will be legal in Australia as of July 1 2011".

But he also advises... if concerned, stick with an AS lid and you cannot go wrong. Well, Duh! :)

What are the EU standards? Do they come under the DOT/SNELL classification or do they have their own?
