Just saw this pre-00 tank on the bay in case anyone is looking. Looks to be pretty decent. Prolly clean up real nice. Especially for under $100.

Good deal for a rusted, dented tank? By the time you recoat the inside, remove the dents and repaint it how much have you spent? Add a gas cap, fuel petcock......

I've seen other tanks in much better condition.

This one looks like junk to me.

Then, I had a new one for sale that no one wanted. I have the one Junior had which the dealer said was excellent, no rust and ready to ship (put back into the factory box Junior's new tank was in, and could use something other than flat black paint) but I'll not bother. No one wants to pay for a brand new or good tank.

Apparently I am off... I guess I see new ones for $3-400 (of this vintage anyways) So I was thinking one that wasnt in too rough of shape was an ok deal if you are on a budget. I know he said some rust, but from the looks of the picture it is minimal.  A $3-400 tank for a bike worth about 1k doesnt make sense. Then again, a $100 tank with a few bruises does. At least to me.  Also, its not like there are millon of these for sale at all times.  Ah well.
