What's a decent price for damaged fairings?

I got a guy interested in buying my fairings off me, but I don't know what a good price is. Nobody posts their price in the for sale. It's lame. Anyway, it's got rash on the underside and some cracking at the bottom right angle. What'd be a decent price? Thanks.

From what I've seen, good condition fairing sets sometimes including the front headlight assembly go for about $300 to $400. You might get better price suggestions with some pics.

But it's cold out in the garage. I'll try and get some on the morrow.

I looked up completed sales on ebay motors.

A complete front fairing set including front headlight and lower fairings from an 05 in perfect condition sold for $204.50 on Nov 14th. The guy removed them to convert his bike for the track.

A right lower fairing with scratches on it went for $60 on Nov 18th. Looks like a 2007 or 2008.

You can probably take into account that your buyer has the benefit of up close inspection before buying. Something you don't get on ebay.

I can assure you...that was a rare sale...n pretty cheap at $265 shipped. How do I know? I'm the one who bought it. :-) . Luckily for me, the seller packaged it very well and nothing was damaged. Personally, I still think it is better to buy locally since u can inspect the goods in person and avoid the risk of stuff getting damaged in shipping.

Finally got around to taking the pics. I ended up asking for $150 for the pair just based on this and some looking at replacements on ebay. Guy came back with $100 which seems a little low to me. What are ya'll thinking with the pics? Thanks.

The crack with a little finger pressure to show it.

How it sits naturally.

Damaged pieces can go for as little as $20

It all depends on the extent of the damage and what is required to repair it.
Other pieces go for $30-$80 each. Higher prices just have scratches. Lower prices have cracks (because cracks are harder to repair than just scratches).

Take the $100 and move on. Do the guy a favor and someone will do you a favor when you need a part.
Think - how much time do you want to spend trying to get another $25 or so for them? What is your time worth? You have a buyer - you risk losing the buyer. Counter with $125 then take whatever you can get between $100 and $125.

I mean yeah it varies. I bought mine off ebay with one scratch right side faring for $19 and $10 shipping. So, $29 for the fairing that is on my bike. My fairing that had a crack in it gave to a local guy that was doing a mock up.

I dunno I just don't believe in selling broken stuff to people. It never seems to pan out right.

Man, I forgot how cheap gs parts are. I was looking into a full set of fairings for a custom paint job for my bike, damaged and mismatched ones at that, and the best I could come up with was about 450-500 for a complete set, not to mention shipping.

I would put a line of epoxy on the back of that crack to keep it from flexing like that, maybe up the value a little bit if there isn't an open wound.
