Has anyone here fitted a 6" wide rear wheel on a GS? It has a 6 section cush drive setup and is originally meant for the TL1000R and Hayabusa.
Why? Because i don't like the tiny stock wheel/tire size and i have this one sitting in my garage already.

Thanks guys

Have a look at http://wiki.gstwins.com/ and you might find some useful info on rear wheel swaps. You might also find why it probably wont work with an original swingarm.

07 Yamaha R6 rear shock
Stainless steel brake lines
Diablo Rosso II Tyres
89 handle bars front forks
Airbrush hugger
rear fender removed completely

There's no "probably"...it flat wont work on the stock swingarm.

Depends on how much time and money you've got.

yeah you would do better to work towards a bandit wheel. I know a 180 tire is sexy, but 160 still looks pretty good compared to how skinny the rest of the GS is, and it's just not worth what you'd have to put in it to make a wheel that big fit on a GS.

easier... and probably cheaper to buy a old GSXR/TL-R/TL-S missing a back wheel
then it will bolt right on
