Winter's off to a good start . . .

Yesterday it was 20 degrees in the Atlanta area, and some precipitation decided to come through. Schools, highways, and many businesses are closed due to the wreckage. PD is only responding to 'injury accidents', meaning they're all busied up. I made it through good enough, but I must say I've died a little on the inside.

This is what happens during the winter.

Glad you survived.

I do a monthly group ride, rain or shine, and the rain is the best learning tool towards being smooth.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BIKE??!!? You were supposed to take care of that thing for me so I could have it when you found a new gs or ex250! Looks like you're just gonna have to streetfighter it now!

I most definitely will not be streetfighting it. It just looks so good with all its clothes on, I could never bring myself to run it nekkid. MAYBE if I really mess something up, I'll consider it. For now, I have touchup paint. The shifter peg borke off when I tried to bend it back out, so I drilled it through and put a bolt through it. As for the upper fairing that had a section crack out of it, I'm looking for a sticker about the size of my fist to put over it. Best I could find to replace it was one in not much better shape, and they wanted $300 for it. Then, trying to match the paint . . . . and then trying to find replacement decals on the front . . . . not worth it.

Dealers have replacement decals. Not $300.
Paint can be matched at colorrite.com  Enter mike make, model and year and up comes the color codes.
There are some excellent plastic repair kits at eastwood.com   I've used them to replace the mounting pins on side pairings

Looking at your pictures: turn signal area should be an easy repair. Lower scratches you should be able to touch up with a touchup pen from colorrite. I've retouched tail plastics for GS500E's and they're hardly noticeable. You might clean them off really good. Touch them up then apply a fresh cleat coat using eastwoods 2k clear or since they're big, have a pro do it with a 2 part urethane. A new clear coat can hide a multitude of scratches & scrapes. You may not need new decals.

Good info adidas guy. I'll have to look into that paint after work. I' need to repaint my tail and fender, and it would be nice if I could match them to the current tank color since it's almost new. Otherwise the whole thing was just gonna get painted black.

I picked up some fiberglass supplies at home depot since I figured it would be a good thing to learn. You could probably patch up that one hole that with if you went at it from the back.
