Nice. Is the speech from something else like a movie or something?

Apparently it was Put Together for the awards banquet for the 2010 AFM racing season. From what I can gather, the first half is from a Versus TV promo. Not sure on the second half.

The Narrator is also an actor - John Doman - who played William Rawls on the series The Wire.

What's holding you back, Mary?

Track days can be expensive, or inexpensive depending on how you go about it. If you really want to attend one, it can probably be done for $200 if you really work for it.

Toogoofy317

yeah, when I'm looking at the prospect of $2000 a day of antibotics for the next week $200 is a LOT right now! I might have to sit in the hospital longer if I can't figure out how to get insurance to pay for it!

I always hear people saying that everyone should do track days. I'd love to ride around on a track, and even though I'm perfectly fine with paying $3 for a gallon of gas, buying a $100 suit and paying $50 an hour to ride around isn't really for everyone.

ragecage23

exactly, that's what I can't get over: the suit. I want something that'll protect me and not rip in half when I'm flyin' down the straights. Just don't have the "pocket change" for it yet.

I don't think everyone should attend track-days... I just think everyone that likes to ride fast, should attend track-days.

FWIW, out here in California you can rent the gear.

I have Zero desire to do a Track Day - how come the people who say "do a track day" are people who do Track Days and always want others to come to the track day with them?

However, I wouldn't mind going to a Track Day just to watch - like watching free motorcycle racing.

RageCage: Sorry, I don't know how much leather rentals are, since I've always owned.. In the Bay Area, call Helimot - he's the local guy for rentals.

ragecage23

Thanks, I've always wanted to do one, but I just can't find the money for leathers.
