It's kind of funny how we think of our ages in years....

Say you were born February 1st 1971.... How old are you on February 1st 2011....?   39 or 40 years old?

You wouldn't be 1 year old until Feb 1st 1972...so on Feb 1st 2011 you would be 39 Years old right...?

Now you would have been born 40 years ago that day...but you'd be 39 years old...


Ok so I've been pretty bored today...

I've been that bored...we count our completed years...otherwise you would say "I'm in my 40th year"...

Or we could really screw things up and have the docs actually count back to date of actual conception. And then measure our age from there.

English is hard enough, let's not really confuse people by changing the entire alphabet shall we? I'm working hard with the kids on proper grammer. LOL

If you could get the kids to learn the difference between quite and quiet...that would be a start.  

That would be quite a feat.

When that horrid day comes, I intend to turn 40 at least a dozen times...

Korean students in my school calculate their age from 1, at the day of birth, and record it as such on forms and applications.  And how our school's student record computer loves that, as it tries to do  a check-sum calculation!!!

I'm learning about this in statistics...age isn't "discrete" you're always 19.whatever years old if one were to be technical. Or rather "your age.whatever"

Okay, I'm in my second statistics class and I have no clue what you just said!
