Well lubed my chain today and then changed the oil the guy i bought it said he did it not to long ago and didn't put to many miles on it but the oil filter seemed like he never changed it it looked horrible so i am happy i didn't listen to him

Indirectly did something for Junior and Suzi. I changed out all of the 4' florescent tubes in their garage with LED 4' tubes. Now I don't have to wait 10 minutes on a cold day for those darned florescents to stop flickering. And the LED's use less than one third the power and have a better light. Junior and Suzi like the new lights.

I'm only grinning because I can't stop laughing at how slow it is

Sounds like it might be restricted? Many Rental scoots where, at least Honda offered restricted ones for Rental use in the past anyway.

It's only a 50, and is classified as a moped which legally cannot go over 30. I'll be fixing that though  :icon_twisted:

Moped big bore kit?

Well, it turns out it's an 80 engine in a 50 frame. So it just needs to be cleaned up and then should be good for 40 mph or so.

Today I picked up a new rear tire for it. 3.5x10 tire with nipples still on it = $10  :woohoo:

I put some new mirrors on today... Still impatiently waiting for many other parts...

Had my mechanic give it new fork seals, and he changed to heavier fork oil and shimmed the front springs while he had it apart.  He pointed out that I did have some preload adjustment left if I wanted it firmer (derp).  I also got a new Sport Demon on the front and an oil change.

I got half a litre of DOT4 and some plastic hose on my way home with intention of bleeding the brakes as I have no idea how old the fluid is, or if there might be any air bubbles in it.  The front's fine but I'm not happy with my rear brake, and I want to eliminate the possibility of air in the lines.  I got my hose and my collection jar, took the seat and side covers off then found that the rear bleed screw didn't want to move without just stripping the nut.  I was using an 8mm open ender which seemed to grip it ok, but it might actually be a little smaller than that.  I'll find out the correct size and get a flair nut wrench for it.

So with a much refreshed front end, I'm going for another ride.

put the fairings back on! It's fully faired now, just waiting on the pay check to paint it and it's back to normal :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Rebuilt carbs, installed new tank, and started a KAT front end swap.  Going to get the bike painted when the weather warms up.

Sticker sets are not cheap. rarely ever on ebay. The only "F" tail stickers I ever found I put on Juniors red Gimbel seat!
You might have better luck finding another tail plastic with the sticker that matches. That would probably be around $50.
If I see one, I'll let you know.

Stebel Nautilus airhorn plus BSB handlebar clock/thermo.  Bike normally has fairings on, so you don't see the horn or any of the wires.  More on the horn/mounting details here:  http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=54934.msg622867#msg622867

I haven't tried this myself, but I wonder what it'd cost if you just took the job to a printer (professionals, not Kinkos) and got them to run you off the vinyl sheets.  You'd just need a very hi rez image of what you wanted.
