Okay, so Suzuki recently released the Kizashi.  A step in the right direction, to be sure, and it's probably fun to drive.  But when are they gonna come with some fury?  Suzuki Cycles tops out with the Busa...what does their auto division have?  The Grand Vitara?  Please...

Until then, I guess there's always this:

EVO

Even the busa is getting kinda boring. It was awesome back around 2000, but it's basically the same bike, and even most 1000cc sportbikes are putting out the same kind of power/speed and weigh 100lbs less.

I wanna know when Suzuki, and other japanese companies are gonna start putting out some real supermotos. The only japanese options are the DRZ400sm and the WR250X. Both weigh almost 300lbs and make about 30-35hp. All the other companies like KTM, husky, aprilia are all making supermotos that weigh about 230lbs and put out 55-60hp. Suzuki has plenty of dirtbikes, and Yamaha even sells the wr450f which would make a perfect supermoto(already street legal with lights), but they're too lazy to slap some 17" wheels on a bike. A supermoto is gonna be my next bike, and I'm stuck picking between a heavier/weaker japanese bike that I'll won't actually mind beating on and having fun on, or paying a little more for a nice light and fast european supermoto, but losing that japanese reliability and my desire to beat on a bike to get to it's maximum fun potential.

Hey, from my limited experience with motos, I'd stay away from KTMs.  A friend had one, and we were constantly working on that thing.  I always thought KTM = quality, but not this bike.  Real POS.  Take off the decals, and it could have passed for Soviet surplus.
Good day to you!

The busa is still the mount of choice for bling bling brothers with more $ than sense. And that is an excellent market to have comming to you.
However I think the trend is stupid and I cant wait for the day when it drops out of fashion like color changing paint.

Cool.

Didn't Suzuki have some sporty Swift GTI thingy in the 90's? I know not super sporty but they were kinda cool and zippy.

Suzuki auto is so tied up with India today that it's there that you will find clues as to whether the company has any genuine interest in a sports vehicle or if its route will be with things like nippy Swifts. The 90s GTi was fun but not really value for money...the flimsy reat seats will never be forgotten by any punter who ever sat on them at speed!

Aye suzi has always produced economy cars. even the kizashi. an eco wiht a bit of sport in it. i dont think theyll do a sports car until theyre sure they could sell them. i mean you think suzi cars you think economy. you think their bikes, you think sport or supersport. no offense to the cruiser owners or teh cheesy250 either
