Does anyone use these? The bars on my GS arent stock, i dont know what they are. The previous owner said they are "close to stock." They are slightly bent and pitted so I need a replacement. Ive heard these are OK.

I was just talking about these bars a few days ago...Yeah, I had these to replace the bent stock bars. They work good if you like the stock feel, very similar just lower.

Those are the only ones I use when I rehab a GS.  Personal preference but they feel the best overall to me- certainly better than stock - again...my preference.

I even have them on my VX800 (look at the link in my sig \/ \/ \/ ).

I used these on my bike when I realized that the previous owner bent the OEMs.
I think they are both lower and further forward than the stock bars by 2" in each direction.

I really like them, though I'd like to try a set of OEM clip-ons
And you can't beat $20 for a set of bars.

I replaced the superbike bars with the factory clip-ons and never looked back.

I just put 'em on.  Just know that you have to drill a couple of holes for the thumb controls.

Ha, I took off the post with a grinder.  Just left enough to get a good clamping force on the bars.
I cannot twist the controls on the bars by hand at least.

Thanks for the heads up. How is the wiring? Do the cable lengths all fit well?

What about the bars Bikemaster makes that don't have any rise?

I can't recall the name but there were similar to the superbike bars but a little shorter, no rise, and not as much sweep. Has anyone used those? I was thinking flat bars might be a cheap way to get close to the feel of clip-ons..or at least get lower.

Jared

Drag bars.- Haven't tried them tho.

Clubmans give you that clip on feel. I personally dont like the look though.
