You know when you mount a katana rim on the GS500 you have to bend the stock break arm so the tire doesn't touch it.

However I remember that I saw a picture of someone using a GSXF 750 break arm and it looked like direct swap on the GS500 swingarm. Do I remember corretly or I am completely wrong?

Yeah I know that tuturial but I'm asking if I could use a GSXF torque arm instead of the Gs stock one.

It's addressed in the tutorial. Yes, it looks like you can use the Katana torque arm.

Okay, sorry my english is not very good I don't see where it is written??   :dunno_black:

But I remember a picture on the forum where some guy had a GSXF (600 or 750 I don't remember that's the problem) torque arm mounted on the GS with a kat wheel. To bad I didn't saved this picture.

From Wiki:

<<<now that you have your bracket and caliper the next issue of the day is the torque arm,

bandit at the top and gs at the bottom. the bandit arm will just give you clearance( and i mean just, no really just)>>>

That was a Bandit torque arm Turd used in the Wiki pictorial.  Maybe a Bandit 400? He doesn't specify exactly and it just barely cleared so he gave it a bit more bend.  Don't know about the GSXF arm, maybe a check of the parts fiches will help..
407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

I'm running a 160 rear on a wheel from a 2000 GSXF-750, this is the same as the SV650 wheel from the same year.

The brake arm is from a 2000 GSXR-750 and bolts right up.

No alignment or clearance issues with a Metzeler Z-6

So it's a GSXR-750 that bolts right up! Not gsxf 750.
