Ok...i need advice again.   I'm looking for a nice jacket with good armor that is versatile enough to wear in cool-warm weather and deal with some rain as well.  Leather is acceptable but i prefer a textile jacket with removable liners and such for changing weather.  Something like this jacket which i am also considering.

i was just looking at the same one yesterday!
arlen ness has one similar called the explorer...that one looks cool too but i dunno if its layered like the agv...i read a review about the explorer and it says its a good warm jacket but its very hard to get your gloves over the sleeves.

Thanx Paui...that's the kinda stuff i like to know...i have a jacket i like but anytime a wear gauntlets it's a bit of a struggle.   Hey...!!! i'm a neighbor...i live in Sunnyside, Queens....

I didn't see this one. I'm very big on having pockets handy so this is one to be considered.  I was t-boned last May in Brooklyn on my way to work by an unlicensed pinhead and even though all i broke was my foot; i was airborn for about 30 feet landed on my back on concrete and slid for another 10'.  I was wearing a heavy duty Schott leather that was worn down to the liner.  I lost not a drop of blood but that was too close a call for me.  Forewarned is forearmed.  I guess i'll also look for some pants as well preferably something i can wear over work clothes but not a necessity.

A mate of mine is an off-roader and they tend to go for a thing a bit like a string vest with back protector, elbow and shoulder pads on it. This allows you to wear just a shirt and/or any jacket you like whist retaining protection and is cool in both senses of the word. I don't know what they call them them but I am sure you can find specilist off-roader sites.
