I believe they're called dominator headlights...

Yup  :thumb: That'd be my bike. Beware... Just hope you realise how many wires are hidden in the original GS headlight bucket lol.

I just replaced a headlight. There must be 50 pounds of crap stuffed into a 3 pound box. Kind of like some women at the gym - a size 14 wearing size 6 spandex. Just because spandex CAN stretch that much doesn't mean it was intended to stretch that much.  :dunno_black:

Having a package that needed to be delivered to The Castle, I asked the other couriers what they knew of the joint. Some said it belonged to a Highland Immortal called Connor MacLeod, some said an eccentric millionaire lived there, some said it was one of the original homes built for the Queen as a Holiday Home in another country. Which basically told me, know one had a friggin clue. Which was unusual in the courier business. Cause couriers are generally in the know about anything and everything in a town with their wide roaming about and conversation with all kinds of clients throughout the day.

As I came around a corner I saw an Alpaca grazing. I was certainly taken aback. Like who the heck has an Alpaca as a pet and lives in the city? So dismounting my bike I had to take a photo. But bugger me if a couple of deer came to have a look as well. Okay, I thought, this is now officially wierd.

Riding past the joint to get a bit of an idea of the layout before parking it up, I couldn't believe its outlook. Doing a u-turn I pulled up at the gate, walked across the road and took a photo through some metal fence panels. I was at road level and the view was awesome. I can only imagine what it was like from the grounds of the property. I can only imagine what the truth behind the property was.

Turning back to the property I saw someone out the front. Oddly, they were covered in head to toe. Long pants, long sleeves, gloves, broadbrim hat and what looked like a Bedouin's shemagh wrapped around their face. And where the eyes were was an overly large pair of sunglasses. I called out to them and they slowly turned to me. I waved the package at them and they nodded to me, turned to face The Castle, nodded and then the gates opened. The person beckoned me to enter and so I did.

Walking up the drive they took shelter under the eave, unwrapped the shemagh and took off their gloves and glasses. The face, while not young, was not old. It had a youthful but experienced appearance. And the amber colored eyes held my gaze without menace. Shaking hands I informed the man who I was and that I had a package for him from Dr Cruor at Livingstone Pathology & Pharmacology. "Ah, my good friend Sanguine" he whispered with a wry smile on his face. Asking me to wait he went inside briefly with the package before reemerging with a small package of his own and two C notes. Pressing the money into my palms with his preternaturally cool hands, he asked if I would take this package back to Dr Cruor right away, Personally. I looked down at my wristwatch and figuring I had time, agreed to his request.

Pleased my agreement he accompanied me to the edge of the shade and stopped. As I turned to ask if he wanted a return receipt of the delivery, the sunlight reflecting off my wrist watch moved across his face. I was stunned every so briefly as it looked like his entire face had become like a skin colored mirror ball as small shards of light reflected everywhere. But no sooner had I seen the effect then it was gone as the light from my watch now cast a small dot of light on the wall behind him. He knew I'd seen something but he acted as if nothing had happened, said he did not need a return receipt cause he trusted me and I started to doubt myself. Had I really seen what I thought I'd seen? Maybe I'd been watching too many Twilight Movies. Either way, I dismissed it, walked back down the drive way, stowed the package in my top box, fired up my beast and rode off down the bitumen street without realizing we would meet again under less formal and less normal circumstances...

Michael

Oh, right.  How about your GS on a group ride. Yes I know thats not very specific, interpret it anyway you like.

Cosimo_Zaretti

Does it have to be taken after the last post?  Todays ride just got cancelled due to weather.

madjak30

I would say it should be a pic taken after the challenge was posted...

Later.

If it stops raining I'll hopefully get out on the road tomorrow, hopefully with friends.  I'll get a shot of the bike at Road Warriors if nothing else.

Yup. AFTER the challenge.

I've got loads of group pics and vids but such rides only happen on weekends when people are available, and if the weather is sh!t then...

I'm leading a ride next weekend so will also have pics and vid. So if no-one has it by then and peeps can wait, I'll have it.

The rain's been rubbish here.  I missed out on three days of riding and a flying lesson.  Flying again tomorrow, hopefully the weather's better.

Mister,

Please tell me where I can get the complete book you authored. That was fantastic. I think we should start a story thread where we can show some pics of our bikes and write a fictional short story of it.

Hmmm.... that sounds like a good idea. A pic of your bike with something of your own choosing and then a story to go with it.

Okay, here's a pic of my bike on a Group Ride. I was the ride leader so the bike (Black Honda 919) is in front.

Next Challenge: Your bike with a No Right Turn or No Left Turn sign, for example...
