OK, just got my bike and finally a week later bought a helmet that fits me. Holy crap I did not know there was so much to a helmet. I thought it was all about the design and pictures on the outside. So after much looking around, trying them on/off I ended up with a JHC Paradox. Great fit, function and yes I got a great looking helmet.

So I wanted to throw this out. What does your helmet look like.

Let's see if we can post as many different styles and designs of helmets.

Here's my three of a kind  :

HJC CS-12N "Session"
OK for everyday city use, although quite noisy (and foggy).

Shark RSI "Shuriken"
Great helmet, pretty quiet, only downside is venting (the lack of it).

and HJC IS-16 "Type O"
Also a good helmet, good venting, sun visor could be better (it's too narrow).


Used to wear this one too, but it's complete garbage (so I gave it to a friend   ):
Airoh SV55
Total crap, very noisy and foggy, the only good thing is the sun visor.

Here's mine. Shoei RF-1000 The blue is a perfect match for my GS

R-Jays Dakkar - was fine for electric bike (lots of room to breath) but the visor leaked badly at high speed and in the rain

Summer RF-1000  full face with light tint shield, winter CL-Max flip face, and when it's over 90F the old RJ-Air open face.  They match my 02 black and silver GS500, black and silver summer mesh jacket, and winter black leather jacket.   

Until this week:

HJC CL-12 in metallic blue solid. Not bad for the price. Not bad at all.

As of this week:

Shoei Qwest. Slightly better ventilation and noise than the HJC, but probably not worth the 3x cost.

I'm looking at picking up one of those this spring. I really want the built in visor. Is it dark enough to be effective? I've always used the darkest tinted visors I could find, and it seems like the built in visors are usually lightly tinted. They have a Scorpion EXO-1000 at the cycle gear here in town for only $130 but it's 1 size too small so I had to pass. Either way I'm due for a new one this spring, my Arai is 7 years old, plus the tinted visor broke and I'm not looking to spend $600 on a new one when i need a new helmet anyway.

Shoei RF-1100 that I bought last week to replace my failing AGV. The AGV was my first helmet... and it was OK... but this is much better.

Gmax helmet. Great ventilation. Visor is very clear. It is a bit noisy at speed, but it serves its purpose and it was pretty inexpensive.

X-lite 801rr Ago-replica. Mine doesn't have those api and MV Agusta stickers on it.

i have a cheap ass HJC thats nothing more then a paper weight.... (it wrapped in the sun and now the visor tends to fly off and whistle)

Completely washable
Very nice looking & matches perfectly w/my bike

Nah... not really. The local supplier only had the standard "smoke" one, not the "dark smoke" I've seen on eBay (for $26.21).
Apparently they're not importing the darker one here, because of the homologation issues. 

Pure orange Shoei RF-1100. Amber shield on most of the time.  Doesn't match anything. Sticks out like an angry sun. Cagers tend to notice angry suns!   

Shoei TZ-X Sprite - First helmet purchase, after trying on every other one that I found at the bike stores 

used to wear a Joe Rocket 101 with mirrored visor.. but just recently purchased a Fulmer SS

the difference in those two helmets is insane! the rocket one is more round, while the Fulmer is oval (if that makes sense)

the fulmer fits perfectly! and the visor is 10000% optically correct. (there is zero distortion)

i had to purchase a second helmet for the GF  and since my rocket one fit her perfectly, i went ahead and got myself something that fit too
