Jeez. I had something similar happen in I-96 in Detroit; truck in front picked up a piece of wall (~4'x8' sheet of either drywall or plywood with a 8' 2x4 attached) and tossed it back towards my car. I had enough time to swerve so that it grazed the right side; otherwise it would have gone through the windshield. My car still has the battle scars from that... I've kept them as a reminder to stay vigilant. That, and I'm too cheap to fix it  :)

Almost enough to keep me off the road.  But probably not.

Scared the beejesus outta me. Its always a sure thing that when you are filming while driving, something bad is gonna happen lol. That is why I aint keen to film my rides.

Didn't see the video but back in 2000 I was driving my little Isuzu pup to work on I-4 was behind a semi.  Going 65 and it blew out the retread the tire peeled right off. It was as long as my truck was wide! It hit my windshield lost control slid 150ft on the side then did one complete revolution. It happened so fast I never realized that I actually turned over because when I stopped I was on my wheels. Trucker kept on truckin' several people had already gotten to me when I went to open the door and get out. All screaming sit down don't move. Me I was worried about my truck! I only had it for two months!

At the time I didn't think I was injured two herniated disc and the gear shifter hit my leg and I had the first, second, Reverse imprinted as a bruise on my leg. I should have taken a pic it was awesome!

That is why I think it should be against the law to retread tires. If I had of been on the bike I would be dead or a vegetable. Speaking of getting hit by tires on bikes. Two Easter's ago I was riding to a friend's house after church. Well, aware of the Easter weekend the year before where I tore up my ankle. I was riding a safe as possible full gear and going down W 192 45mph and the car in front of me kicked up a piece of tire in front of me. It me right in the right shoulder. About the size of a softball. I tank slapped a bit and stayed up right and thought "that wasn't too bad" then about a mile or two down the road my last two fingers went numb so I figured rather be safe than sorry. Got to the ED and found out the impact seperated my AC joint. It has not healed right and the rotator cuff was torns so on April 29, I'll be having surgery on this shoulder yay me
!

That is why I'm ATGATT!

I must be the exception then, eh? All my vids and no offs. BUT, when I haven't been filming someone has an off - not all the time mind you. I don't believe bringing along an inanimate object jinxes anything. All in your head. Though, what does scare me is being in a car with an overabundance of religious paraphernalia. Like one time, this leading had at a place we were working offered to drive us to smoko. Hopped in the car and he had two St Christopher medals and  a collection of small tiles - maybe half inch square - with pics of Yeshua, Mary, etc., all along his instrument display. A couple of playing card size images on his sun visor. Dangling Rosary from the rearview. All that creeped me out.

Funny thing was, I asked him if they were there as something he added after each time he had a near miss. He said, "No I'm not crazy like that I..." and let it taper off without saying anything more about it.

whoa, someone needs to worry about him haha

I just keep at St. Christopher with me. A little superstitious thing I guess. I had him with me everyday, then the one time I forget him I crash. So, I keep him with me all the time now
