Hey Guys this is my first post so I thought I would introduce myself. New Rider from Richmond, VA about to pick up my 1995 GS500 this Sunday if everything works out as planned. Just some background grew up riding dirtbikes from the age of 4. People usually look at me strange but I remember it was a little Honda 50 bright orange with a blue seat had 3 gears with no clutch. Well anyways a buddy of mine bought a new bike and it brought up old memories of riding I haven't rode in about 3 or 4 years. Decided on impulse to take the MSF course. The riding part was cake but learning more about riding with traffic and everything was really an eyeopener. I def have a ton to learn about riding in the streets and the way a street bike will handle in the elements which is why I decided to go with the GS500. Yeah I could've jumped on a 600 sport bike and been ok but after much consideration of how I really don't want to kill myself on my first bike I decided this is a perfect start. I would rather master an underpowered bike then be afraid of a overpowered bike. Plus can't complain to much about the insurance.  :D Well that's it about me this seems like a good forum and hope to learn a lot! I'll post an update when i have the bike in my possession.

Enough about me.... onto the bike!

Also the only concern I have is that I will outgrow the bike to fast. At this point though I am just ready to be on 2 wheels.  O0

The guy I'm buying it from has had it about a month. Do you know of any issues it had before your friend sold it? It looks like a super clean bike.

steezin_and_wheezin

i don't know of problems. he's pretty good with the wrench, and always takes care of his stuff

Got the bike put 275 miles on it in the first day. Took me 6 hours from Blacksburg to Richmond but I smiled the whole way. Awesome bike I'm in love with it!
