Looking at a 2009 gs500f with 5000 miles.

I am thinking about flipping it.

This is in North Carolina, I think the guy will take $1500.

Assume the mechanical parts are in good shape, engine trans, tires, chain, sprockets etc.

The tank has no dents and the cases have no scratches.

The plastics on both sides are scratched and cracked and the muffler is scratched.

I figure either a little plastic welding and a paint job or convert to naked and sell for ?

Maybe $2000 or possibly $2500?

where you at? gotta take that into account. plus plan on trying to sell during riding season or pre christmas, ( as a gift type sale) where in nc? , im in no position to buy it. my next bike wil be another HD. maybe a gs on the side. could always pull hte scraped plastics, and sell them to someone whos wrecked. and go naked. but first things first. where are you, and how much would it take to get from nc to your garage?

I'm about 45 minutes north of Greensboro, it will only cost 20 bucks in gas to go pick it up with my truck.

Ill probably list it for sale in Greensboro and maybe Charlotte, I don't mind driving a couple hours to deliver it if I'm making 500+ dollars profit.

ahh got ya. i thought you were across country. yeah its doable, hell i was looking at places to live in greensboro, or reidsville, perhaps brevard, hell even charlotte. that way im close enough to what is left of my family, id say go for it. its only 2 years old, heck check teh fs/ft section here or ebay you can get another can, or if you get it, ive got the stock can, minus head pipe in the trunk of my old cop car. the one that was on my 97 before i put the gsxr1k can, id let you have it for cost of shipping, which its almost small enough to fit into a flat rate box lol

There is a guy trying to flip a 90's gs with a custom paint and a kat 97 FE in western VA for 3K.
That was Mdow's old bike that Mdow sold for ~500 in december if I recall.
Its worth more than 500 if it was decently modded and you had time to sell it n spring/summer, but no way it worth 3g. I sold one a couple years ago with a kat FE for 1500. Anyway just think it thorugh. Its not worth as much as you think it is, it may be worth more than he's asking though.
