It came out a little longer than I thought it would (ride footage) and the camera glitched when I was finalizing the review so I added the scrolling info at the end...I have also made a camera mount that moves the camera about 1.5" out from the frame...the engine takes up about half of the ride footage view... :embarrassed:

Let me know what you think... :thumb:

Not too bad at all. :thumb:

Next time, shoot all in the sun and take some deep breaths before starting so you don't sound out of breath - or do the same Scene a few times so you are Used to what you will say and won't sound out of breath.

It's funny, on Thursday I went out to shoot a Review Video. Found a lovely little secluded spot with great background scenery. Set up he camera. Got about 30 seconds of footage and a car comes into my spot. Grrr. Does a slow drive by just enough to ruin my work. I stop. The car drives off. I'm about to start again and Another car comes. WTF? I've NEVER seen any cars here and now it's like a procession. I say "screw it" I'll do this another day elsewhere. As I'm heading out of my nice secluded spot I pass another three cars heading in. Ill try again today...

Very cool Vid. Love to hear the engine work. Still a bit chilly over there? My only suggestion would be to take a few shots form a few angles like say a few mins from the engine like you had it then a few minutes on your helmet. Maybe a rear view? I don't know how much of a PIA it would be switching though lol. Thanks heaps for the cool clip.  :thumb:

@ mister - So where is this secluded spot? I might have to buzz you with the Monster  :flipoff:
Went for a quick ride out past Kholo Bridge yesterday to Lake Manchester Rd intersection then turned around. If you are ever in need of a quick fix it is not to bad a road out that way. Used to be really beautiful but the floods have left it looking like a war zone at the bridge and a few other places.

When you head toward Springfield on the Centenary, just before the missing dome (funny, I can't even find images of it being there on nearmap - nor is it on video footage I shot riding by at a time I remember it being there), on your right there looks like a car park with a dirt road going to it. If you get to the car park the road actually goes further to Another carpark with bitumen (follow School Rd off Redbank Plains Rd ). It was the 2nd smaller car park. Had remnants of two burnt out car scars on the bitumen. I think I'll just do it in the University Car park instead - near the big tree (if security does not chase me away). I had actually shot a complete review where Summerville Rd East meets the river just prior to the floods though the bridge was under. But I wasn't happy with the camera work as I was still getting used to my homemade steadycam. And since the flood, the place is a wreck.

I worked on the Lake Manchester Dam Wall Upgrade and New Spillway. So I traveled that road daily for months. Though I haven't been over the Kholo Bridge since the floods. I'd love a piece of property out there, but I think the prices are too steep - sure it's land and close in, but still. I did notice, when we worked out there, there was Always marks of someone running off the road on that Sharp bend heading back in to town. And there is no way the last bend before the intersection is a 60 bend as signposted - 60 if you are used to it, otherwise you'd come to grief on it.

Thanks for the feedback...I didn't even notice the breathing...maybe it was because of my cold, or because I was nervous about talking on the video... :dunno_black:

I'll have to write a script (or atleast practice what I'm gonna say) so that I can cover all I want and not be searching my mind for the info...

Not in Alberta, not sure about the rest of the provinces but I don't think they do either...what's the flashing for?  to get your attention?

The "shortness of breath" thing is common when you first do commentary. It's partly nerves restricting your diaphragm, partly wanting to get everything out so you tend to breathe differently, partly holding your breath without realising in other places, partly talking while moving about. A few false starts usually takes care of it as you get the hang of it.
