Oh, I'm sure but it is quite satisfying knowing that he is dead now.

 :woohoo:

Gratifying to know that he is outta there. Of course the batlle moves on against terrorism but this bastard started the crusade against anyone who believes in freedom, anywhere in the world. The world should have some sort of smile just hearing this news.

Too bad FOX news can't spell the name correctly! Even after 3 hours, they still had it wrong.

Twisted

Maybe they didn't want to get people confused that the US president had died lol

Nope, that is an accepted transliteration of his name.
I like a non-sequitur as much as the next Giraffe.

Osama was an GS 500 owner or something?  :dunno_black:

It's nice you want to share your excitment about the news with everyone you know, but I really cannot see the connection between politics and a motorbikes enthusiasts forum.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes.
A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production.
Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Battle Against Terrorism? You cannot battle an Action. You can battle people - terrorists. But to do so you First need to define the enemy, Clearly define what a terrorist is. Once defined, you can immediately know if you are winning or not. Terrorism is an Action. A tactic of fighting. You can no more have a war against that than against shooting, or running or any other Action. By keeping the enemy Undefined you can fight a perpetual war. Sounds more like 1984 every day.

Bin Laden did NOT start any Crusade against Freedom Lovers - keep believing the Media Spin if it makes you comfortable and warm and fuzzy.

The CIA had a list of names - a database if you will - just like any company has a database of customers, suppliers, etc. The name of this database is cleverly called The Base which translates as Al Qaeda. One of the names on that mailing list was a fellow called Osama bin Laden. They (CIA) called on him to put a spanner in the works of the Russian Military in Afghanistan.

Any time you hear a media report of "links to Al Qaeda" you now know that...

1: There is no group called Al Qaeda with a hierarchy cause the term Al Qaeda is referring to a mailing list created by the CIA
2: As such, they cannot have Links to this non-existent group - depending on how you define the word Links

*I* believe Bin Laden has been pushing up the daisies for ages. But now is a good time to get his body off ice and claim a victory. A good diversion it is. Diversion From what? Insert theory here.

This is awesome. Finally some justice has been served and the war cannot be said to be in vain. No one wanted this man alive and the world is a better place without him. Yes some other psycho might step up, and the war on terror is never over but there is one less person alive who stands against the freedoms of the world. He has finally paid the price for the crimes he committed. I see nothing wrong with celebrating his DEATH!!!!!!!

Honestly, no one should "celebrate" the death of anyone. While I'm against what this man has done "one man's revolutionary is another man's terrorist".Our country has some pretty nasty atrocities in it's closet too. When people "hate" to that extent there is usually some kernal of truth at the bottom of it. Hint nuke bombing civillian cities last a very long time that will not disappear from the collective consiousness in a generation or two. And for some reason the thought of Killing to save lives is a crock in my opinion. I really think this is going to stir the shite pot and more of our soldiers will die in revenge of this one man. I mean really other than a moral victory it has changed nothing he hasn't been calling the shots for some time. I believe those most intimately affected by this man needs to forgive and move on let it go nothing more constructive can come out of vengeance and hate.

So, far other than personal people changing for the better we gave in. He won 10 years ago because we are afraid and with that fear our liberties disappear. I see it in my personnal life as an example before 9/11 I could walk through security and not be hassled because I have a pacemaker. Now I get treated like a terrorist but who cares that it bothers me when some TSA bone head comes at me with a device that can harm me physically and one point emotionally because I was frisked in an inappropriate manner or have to go spread eagle 24 hours after surgery. We're safe and that's all that matter freedom is not what it used to be.

I forgive him. He is only human, and subject to any number of mistakes as the result of whatever he did or did not believe was true, or was or was not actually true.

But he did orchestrate an event that claimed the lives of thousands. So he got what was coming to him.

Brilliant!

There are several accepted spellings of his name.  He was an Arab and they don't use the same alphabet so there isn't a single "correct" spelling of his name in English.  Same is true of Gaddafi, or Kadafi, or Khadafi.  I've seen them all hundreds of times.  He's another P.O.S. who needs to go.

Having said that, I didn't celebrate when Bin Laden assumed room temperature.  It needed to be done and justice was served.  Do you celebrate when you take out the trash?  This thing ain't over by any stretch.  It will go on forever.  Taking out the trash never ends.  God bless America.
