I signed up my GS500 for an A/B VIP day with Z2 at Sears Point raceway with a little trepidation - this would be the first time I've ridden with the fast bikes in the fast group at a Norther California trackday, and the first time I've run back-to-back sessions. The experience however turned out to be hugely rewarding - especially when I was given some excellent feedback early in the day.

The experience of doing 40 minute sessions on the track at pace was physically and mentally draining, climaxing in an epic 5 session run at the end of the day. For the first time in forever, I've left the track feeling satisfied after a single day event. Huge thank you to Z2 for running a great trackday, and for offering the chance to get all that extra seat time. For anyone with the endurance, I highly recommend taking advantage of the 2 group pass.

I've put together a video showcasing the differences between the two groups. I've settled on a little late 90s NIN as a soundtrack, as it was too much of a pain to work my way through the copyright rat's nest involved in my first picks.

I hope you enjoy. :)

Awesome video. I have a question though what are you doing with your thumb on your clutch hand? Using the indicators?

Haha, I wondered about this too. Was guessing it was just a reflex to cancel his signals after a turn  :dunno_black:

kman

were you cancelling the signal instinctivly?

On another note, I noticed one guy trying to be Rossi with his foot sticking out.

It's the turbo button, yo.  :icon_lol:

Seriously though, it's completely instinctive at this point. I never realized how much I did it until I started watching these videos.

I took a lot of pride in chasing that dude down as far as I did. There's a lot of other skills to focus on before you start sticking your foot out, for sure.
