Seeing how I was planning on writing a list of all the little things left to do to the GS project I figured I'd type it out on here, why I have no idea, guess I'm just bored at work. I'm getting a eager feeling that I will be riding this biotch this season, the list of to do items is getting smaller.

1.) Install new Frt./Rear HEL Brake Lines, Bleed Brakes.
2.) Re-paint, Re-wrap exhaust headers and install header donut gaskets, loctite silencer mounting hardware, perhaps safety wire them as well.
3.) Install Carb. mounting boots in anticipation of Buddah getting my Carbs. rebuilt, jetted and back to me.
4.) Install Carbs.
5.) Relocate Carb. petcock, cut and re-route fuel lines, mount in-line fuel filter.
6.) Install K+N Lunch Box Air Filter.
7.) Install new Chain.
8.) Repaint Frt. directionals, lengthen wires on directionals.
9.) Mount Dual Headlights lengthen wires on headlight harness.
10.) Mount directionals.
11.) Loosely fit complete wiring harness.
12.) Relocate all electrical relays, boxes, flashers and other electrical crap to under seat wiring tray.
13.) Install Battery (Anyone know of a good, small unit?)
14.) Figure out what, if anything I'm going to use as a rear fender. Currently have a Hugger Style off of a GSX400 that I'm fiddling with, might just buy a cheap steel trailer fender and cut up as needed.
15.) Mount stk. Front fender for fitment, start thinking about color and finish of front fender.
16.) Mount Tag holder
17.) Rough wire in rear LED Brake, Directional and Tag Light harness.
18.) Call Brother and have him finish wiring the bike before I burn it to the ground.
19.) Change Oil and Oil Filter, anticipate problems, pray for none.
20.) Cut tabs off of Gas Tank, start thinking about color and finish of Gas tank.
21.) Finish mounting hand controls and switch gear.
22.) Test all systems in garage.
23.) Put a wrench on all fasteners rechecking Trq. Values.
24.) Go for small ride around neighborhood.
25.) Discover that I forgot to do about 10 critical things, spend another month in garage sorting those mistakes out.

Any issues any of you see with the above, please feel free to chime in with help or advice.

LOL step 25 cracks me up. Sounds like my routine.

I'm gonna put the 95 back together in a few weeks and my favorite method - the bolt count method of assembly wont fly in my case. I've replaced most of the bolts so far with a slew of stainless allen heads ... there goes that method.

Bear with me Fry, I just woke up. On #20 you said the tabs on the tank. Older Suzuki tanks (think non-GS500) were pressed together and then welded at the seam. So cutting tabs off would lead to major gas leaks.

And for a battery, google Shorai power or something like that. Ultra small lithiom iron (NOT ion) batteries that weigh next to nothing.

Dammit, then those ugly tabs towards the rear (Seat Area) are a major eye sore, WTF

Fry, which tabs are you referring to and where are you cutting them?  I cut the tabs off the rear of my 90 tank that the side plastics would clip into and have no gas leaks.

Yes I am referring to those tabs and will cut them below the seam. Thanks for the heads up.
