I have an '01 GS500 and need to touch up some areas, the color is Metallic Abyss Blue, is there a matching color from Duplicolor?

Thanks

I think only colorite has the official colors.

colorrite.com is the place to go. Yes, more expensive, but it is the right color for touch ups. I've bought a lot from them and they always match exactly. Enter your bike make, model and year and up come the colors. Pen, jar or can.
Duplicolor would be OK if you were going to paint everything.

if i get a touch up pen, would it blend in nicely as it or do i need to sand after to make the surfaces even?

I want to touch up some of rock chips i have in the front fairing.

Any touching up of a nick or ding will always require some smoothing & buffing to get the edges invisible. You're adding more paint and it won't be exactly the same thickness as a single overall spray job from the factory. Though the color will match correctly. Apply the color. Wait a week or so for it to dry and thin down then do more if needed or clear coat. Wait for it to dry a week or so then smooth it down. Paint will get thinner as it dries so you have to wait before you do the final light sanding & buffing.

I've touched up a couple tiny dings but so small I haven't bothered to buff the edges perfect and they're where you don't normally see them anyway (like dropping a wrench on the front of the tank off of the top handlebar plate - you don't ever see it there)
