My friend and I are going jacket shopping this weekend and wanted to know if anyone knew a place in the metro area that had a pretty large selection of jackets. Thanks.

Like M/C jackets?  Too bad shops usually don't have the selection and sizes you need for a good fit  Probably best to try each manufacturer to get an idea of how they size their jackets, then buy online, unfortunately  You can always get some chain lube or some other stuff while you're there, support the store and all

It would be a bit of a drive for you, but Freehold Honda on Rt 9 in Freehold NJ has a pretty good selection.

yeah i think your best bet is NOT shopping in NYC.  I don't know anyplace that has good selection/service/prices etc.... i get everything online. I would try to take a drive somewhere as far away as possible (like to NJ as suggested) to find better shops...

I agree the prices here aren't that great at all but if you do want a few leads in NYC i'll be happy to help.
