Yeah, I get the crunch too.  In the MSF course they tell you to be in 1st before you're stopped at a light so thats why I do it but I dont think the GS likes it.

i thought they meant be in first with the clutch disengaged.  that's what i do anyway.

Yeah, if you're sitting in neutral at the light youre doin it wrong.
