Two weeks ago I purchased a part from a forum member, then deleted my PM box without even thinking it'd be an issue.  Sent an email a week ago, didn't respond.  Sent another, didn't respond.  It's been two weeks since I ordered the part, no tracking number, no part, no communication of any kind.

I know it hasn't been two months or anything, but I'm trying to get in touch with this guy.  In his forum pic he had an '06 GS500F in the white/blue combo.  Bike had custom rear plastics and a custom rear passenger seat that was raised above the driver's seat.  Looked kind of like a step (rear seat, step down, driver's seat).

Any info appreciated.
Good day to you!

Nope. Not me. I respond to PM's. If someone paid for a part, I track it through Paypal.
What was the part?
If you paid through PayPal you should be able to pull info by logging into your paypal account.
You asked about right cover, headlight bracket and bar ends. All sold in my replies to you. That's going through the past month's messages.

My bad Adidas do you like have an alarm on your computer that goes off if your name is mentioned? I misread I thought it was someone buying. Did you use PayPal if so alot of times people will put who they are in the message etc.

Otherwise, wasn't me either  :dunno_white: . Oh, can you look in the "for sale" section and maybe pull up the thread?

Not I. Good luck finding the culprit though.

No, it wasn't addidas.  He's the best.  It was a right rear fender for an '06 GS-F, in white.  I have a very minor imperfection in mine, and was going to do a touchup when I had the time, but the guy offered to send out the fender shipped for less than what touchup would cost.  He'd replaced his rear bodywork with the custom stuff I described in the O.P., and his avatar is an image of the bike with that rear stuff fitted.

I pulled the PayPal info and sent emails to the address provided several times without response.  If I can't track this dude down soon I guess I'll just do a PayPal claim.
Good day to you!

You don't remember what his screen name was?? Good luck with it. I just got screwed over by someone on another forum. Stupid me tried to be nice by sending the paypal money as a 'gift' so the guy wouldn't lose out on the fees so I can't even file a claim. Won't make that mistake again.

My inbox was getting pretty full, trashed it.   Didn't even think the guy would disappear.
Good day to you!

There was only one member that I ever had problems with - "CD" - as did others but eventually got the parts.
Since I've been refurbishing the older bikes and only farkling up my 2009, I haven't paid attention to the newer plastics. Otherwise I might remember who it was.

If there was a posting by that person, you can do a search based on key words. If you made a public posting as a reply, then you can click on your profile and "see recent postings". Then scan through your postings until you find the thread.

Hope this helps.

SUGGESTION: Anyone paying with payPal, NEVER EVER do it as a gift, loan or other personal funds. ALWAYS make a purchase for "Goods". There is no fee if you have an active account linked to your checkbook or other funds source or have funds in your account.

WHY you ask? if for GOODS, you can file a claim in 45 days. If it was a gift or other personal funds, you get told to f - off because you can't file a claim for a gift. You can file a claim for non-receipt of goods, damaged goods or not as advertised.

PS: For the future, there is a check box at the top of a page of messages. Click that and the entire page is checked. Then do a delete. You'll only delete that page. Once a month I start at my last page of in-box and out-box and delete a page at a time so I always maintain at a minimum the last month. Usually the most recent 2 months of messages. (Never use a "Delete all".) I think a technical term would be "pruning" your messages.

Try going through the What Did Your Do To Your Bike thread. Besides Addy there was a guy there who also has the step seat you describe. Start at the most recent page and work your way backwards.

If you have great trader feedback, I'll usually send the cash as a gift.  Dealt with a few members on this forum so far, all honest and one was even quicker shipping than a store.

Paid for it on wednesday, got it on friday FROM CALIFORNIA!!@!!@!@!@

So there are great sellers out there too, just be wary.

Went through every page of the "What have you..." topic, searched my previous post, and looked in the FS forum at recent posts.  Can't find this guy for the life of me.  Whatev.  Guess it's time to get PayPal in on it.
Good day to you!
