well i tried this year exactly 1 year and 1 day since my mom passed away. and i couldnt do it. i have a litre and a half of crown. 750ml of canadian club and some other thigns. like patron silver i keep put away in my liquor cabinet. i drink on occasion but a buzz is as far as im willing to go. im afraid to go further. when mom died. a friend bought me a bottle of coconut rum. i LOVE that stuff, and a large bottle of bacardi 151 took me a month to finish the coconut rum. she passed a day before my birthday. bottle was roughly 500ml. i was/am afraid to get any further than buzzed. i do miss it to be honest. its just that fear. i hung that habit up. like i did pot. looked at it and said no more ( to excess. and pot ive not touched in 5 years )

Yeah that morning hurt a lot, didn't really remember posting this. Anyways, I think that the pleasure of drinking is pretty subjective. A lot of great memories with my friends had a solid foundation of alcohol consumption, but more of them (and mostly better ones) don't include it.

oh htere are times i did enjoy it. id get hammered. tehn play a driving game. .... ON THE PC...., like gta4 or someshit. i couldnt keep the vehicle out of storefronts. i had passed a sobirety checkpoint drunk as hell once. i went straight home said never again ( will i drive drunk)  and that i havent. gaming drunk was kinda fun sometimes. especially when it was an mmo type game and i had to communicate with people. or playing the online version of flight simulator x. i would end up landing where everyone was parked, or if i was flying the helo id land on teh tower

-1 on driving drunk, glad you stopped haha. My roommate has a full racing set up in our living room with GT5 on it, and that's a blast with a few drinks under the belt. And don't get even me started on playing counter strike with a microphone haha

4 years ago, it was fun then, but I don't miss it.

I gave up drinking alcohol many years ago. Not for religious reasons or cause I had a problem, but because it does nothing for you - has no nutritional value - and hinders our cognition. Seeing as our ability to think is what makes us superior to all other creatures on this planet, hindering our main asset seemed kinda of stupid. So I just stopped. Last time I had a drink was a sip of champaign at Xmas 2005.

After a while, you ask yourself, "when do I ever drink this much water?"

For many years I used to drink and NOT get hang overs. . .
Now I get hangovers without drinking.  :dunno_black:

Getting old stinks!
I miss smoking & drinking every day.
