I have a 93 and would like to replace the KS with a 09 one of fleabay. Are they direct bolt on compatibe?

adidasguy

No.
While they all bolt the same, from bolt hole to ground end (roughly) 8.5" on my 2009-F and 9.5" on both of my E's (92 and 94).

tt_four

That's convenient to know for anyone who's looking to lower one of their earlier E model and will need a shorter sidestand

Paulcet

Good to know, but why would they be different? Does your '09 lean over more?

Good to know! An inch difference is quite a lot in my case. I have to remeasure my custom stand.

You got one of those rebar specials ... did you get it from me ?
Like i used to cut it, put a piece of rebar in it and weld it back up for it to be 1-1.5" longer.
Cool.

I do! But I did it myself but got the DIY info I think from Pablo's site. Now that I no longer have the GSXR shock the bike is a little too stright up and dangerous on the side stand.
