I may be going to look at a new bike this weekend. If everything goes well i'll need to sell the GS because I cant afford insurance on both.  I have an 07' gs500F bought new in 08' with 5k miles and always garage kept.  I have installed an integrated LED taillight (install posted here), integrated front signals in mirrors, and had the tail section painted blue to match the bike.  I did drop the bike in my gravel driveway <5mph resulting in a few scratches to the decals on the front right fairing, slightly bent rear brake lever, and scratches and a couple dents to the muffler.  Also the idiot before me tried to remove the idiot sticker on the tank resulting in a couple scratches that can be fixed with a touch up pen.  I will post pictures here after work tomorrow.  I believe thats the only damage to the bike.  Trying to get $3,000.  Located in central Kentucky.

You can try...but I can go to the dealer and get a new old stock 08 or 09 for 3300...........without the nig rig mods, or dents or cracks or 5K miles with warantee.........Hmmmmmmwhich would you choose?.....

Brutally blunt as always...

Sounds like you should load a truck up with bikes and come up here to flip them. Dealer's here are still selling old stock 09's for $5300. As far as the mods go no wires were cut and all stock parts will go with the bike. And there are no cracks.

Do I detect sarcasm?   You asked to gauge interest...my opinion is you won't sell it for anywhere near 3000, and I explained why.....don't get mad at me...I'm just the messenger...
Dude are you in Canada...or another planet......check out the suzuki website...for usa anyway...list is 4399...and they have a 1000 off deal right now  so that's 3399.........

Since the dealers have 07  08   09 leftovers...still...probably not a good business plan to truck load and "flip"....

Also....you don't have to try to sell your bike to me...I already have one.......runs some ads...maybe find a sucker....be happy.....

No idea.  Maybe he is just aggresvily defensive lol.

Back to topic though,   I don't imagine you'd have a tough time selling the GS.  Its just the start of riding season, lots of new people out there looking for a new ride.

good luck

The part about I should get a truck load and come up there and flip them.....

Now.... the "F " part is is beyond sarcasm.....

If you want me to tell you your bike is worth a small  fortune then Ok.....If I told you I think you could sell it for $5000.....Would that make you happy?   But then again If I agreed with you we would both be wrong....

But please explain why anybody would pay 3000 for a "used" bike when they can get a new (old stock) for 3400?  With guarantee...

And 2% financing if they don't have all the cash??

Prove me wrong...sell the bike

You should get out more.  The bottom line is; something is worth what someone else is willing to pay even, even if they pay too much. The below link is a prime example, the world is full of dilusional people ... that guy is waaaaay off but if someone buys it ... like they say; "a fool and his money are soon parted" ... If you never ask, you'll never know ;)

Interesting...but that is Canada......I understand the motorcycles vary widely in price according to country....I think for instance Australia is very high in motorcycle prices compared to USA.

Listen....I really hope you get a good dollar for your bike.....place some ads and list it at a farily high price...you can always come down in price but you can not bargain up...

Around here on craigs list, bikes similar to yours (but possibly with no damage history)  are being advertised with an asking price of $3100......but I don't think they are selling at that price..........

Also these sellers probably have not seen the Suzuki deal now being offered on new old stock bikes....If they bought their bikes new for over $5000, they think that $3100 is a fair asking price........but since you can buy one with 0 miles for $3400...I think $3100 is a bit optimistic.......
