My vacuum ports are capped off because I no longer use them.I have a 2004-07 Honda CRF250X petcock.I have a write up on here on how to replace the petcock.

PICS are GONE never TO return.

Thanks for answering PM. I'm the third owner of my GS500. The ports you capped, I know original setup the vacuum hose connects to the left carb from petcock. Is there a cap on the right carb or left off? It was off when I got it.

You're welcome.

Most GS's have the right carb vacuum port plugged internally with a brass ball or plug.If your carb has this, then you do not need to cap it.If the plug is missing, then yes,it needs to be capped. The slightest vacuum leak will cause an engine to run really bad and lean out the fuel air mixture.
