Asphalt "Curbs"...and needing to make one...

Anyone on here really familiar with doing / working with asphalt?

Here's what my problem is.... I have an idiot landlord that HAD to redo the apron outside my garage doors. First he did gravel to irritate me and waste money...then he had that taken out and had them do asphalt.

Looks nice- they did an ok job...but my garage is at the low spot of the street ( directly in front of my half of the garage is the low point .)-they put a mild "swale"  in it to drain it to the one side ( MY SIDE )- . So the street acts like a funnel when we get a heavy downpour. So  the drain off to the side can handle the water if it was just the apron  but it get's a huge amount of water from both directions on the street...

Yeah you guessed it- it goes right in my garage. Why didn't he listen to me  when I told him it needed a drain the width of the garage ? Other than him being a cheap know it all bastard I couldn't tell you.

There was about a 3 inch high concrete "bulkhead" at the garage door -between the door frames  literally a 1/4 inch or so outside the garage door - and the apron was hard pack soil etc with grass....a few inches HIGHER than the street--- ALMOST seems like it was that way for a reason... :icon_rolleyes:

So what I want to do - am going to do- am going to bill my landlord for  is  I want to put a curb in at least at the garage door(s) - say 3-4 inches high and wide enough to get the bikes etc over it -more like a miniature speed bump/hump.
Cold patch products  really aren't going to hold up to the traffic (or is there a cold product that will???). I'd like to have it done at the street -as that is where the overwhelming amount of the water comes from but that will also need the hot asphalt and at least hand forming as i don't want a curb I can't take the bikes over....

The best fix besides pouring the garage floor 4 inches higher inside to me is doing a concrete  berm under the garage doors and physically raise the garage door-frames and all. I was even looking at those bolt down plastic speed bumpsas an option...

I'll settle for whatever keeps the damn water out.   So... Any Asphalt Mavens around?

This is from the last time ( not today ) after it had stopped raining and drained a bit.  Yeah my garage is cluttered.

Concrete would be easy- I'm fine with that....the working/doing it part isn't my problem it's finding a cold patch type product that will hold up- or I have to pay someone to come do it-which I'm trying to avoid.

I've considered a good length of 2 inch plus diameter old fire hose  filled with sand have to spike it down at the one end to make sure it's in a place to not let the water run around it-which may do the trick. That's if I'm home and think to put it in place...and I know I'll be tripping over the damn thing.

Concrete and raising the door seems like the best solution ( and coincidentally the cheapest ).

If anyone has any good ideas I'm all "ears".

Yeah...I mentioned in my first post how I told him it needed the drain ( put in while they were doing the shaZam!...). A Speedy drain --box type set up with a grate (romoveable) and discharges at the ends/sides (whatever you request), come in different sizes- would have been perfect. One of my best friends does waterproofing/water management etc... installs them all the time- could have done it all at the time  they did the damn asphalt...but  the nitwit landlord (property manager- he doesn't even own the house) likes to say no and  go around his assh0le to get to his elbow most of the time....Ughh anyway...

The floor is pretty dry now from yesterdays deluge...(thanks to the big fan in the pic)... I just want to fix this before the next time Noah goes boating.
