Hey guys, long time no post.  We're cleaning the carbs in hopes of solving a hanging idle of 4000 rpm.  I read through the idle hovering thread and have ordered a carb rebuild kit from Cycle Gear.  However, in looking through my clymer manual I see references to an idle mixture screw/adjustment that I don't have.  I did some searching and I've read that I had to drill out a cap, is that true?  I'll post pics so you guys can see what I'm talking about.

You guys rock.  Thank you so much for the quick reply.

Make sure to put the float bowls back on before you drill so all brass the shavings don't get inside the carb   :thumb:

They guy wants a quick answer, why should he have to search and why should he have to look at your write-up?

Isnt a way to stick something in the hole in the middle and pop em out? seemed like just caps to me.

It's used to be a written rule and the question is so common that it's been gone over thousands of times which makes searching a little easier.  :dunno_black:

3 people answer the question and between them give the O/P all the advice he asks for.......then you join in 8 hours later, tell him to search and direct him to one of your write-ups :dunno_black:.....Are you on an ego trip?
