wondering if it would fit easy or would I need to mod it big time and not worth the hassle....?  :dunno_white:

I'd reccomend just buying a proper exhaust designed for the gs500, i'd assume that's the reason they have exhaust systems specified for certain models of bikes.
I like riding motorcycles

Twisted

It can be made to fit just like just about any slip on could. How hard? That is the question. You may have to make up a bracket to make it fit or get the mid pipe bent so the can doesn't scrape when cornering.

Most any muffler will work. You may need to make a hanger or exhaust pipe adapter.I have the right side muffler off of a D&D Hayabusa exhaust system. All I had to do is get a friend to make the adapter to mate the GS header to the Busa muffler.I got about $30-$35 in my exhaust and that's including buying the GS header with the muffler cut off and new header gaskets.Works as good as an expensive new exhaust system.Oh,I used a stainless steel T bolt clamp from McMaster-Carr to hold the muffler on.

You will need to rejet the carbs after the exhaust upgrade.

It was in better condition when I installed it 3 or 4 years ago.

Flow through design.

My adapter welded on solid.

On my bike.

I have less than $2000 in my bike and that is including the purchase price. It's not an investment for me.It's my project and toy.

How does it sound though?

It has a deep tone until about 8000 rpm then she gets loud and starts to scream.Sitting at a stop light,it's really no louder than the stock exhaust, just a deeper tone.I have no way to post a vid or sound clip.My phone with video died over the winter and my digi cam doesn't do videos.
