now for the questions...

1. can a 3 wire blinker be adapted to our 2 wire system
2. What one of the 2 front blinkers do y'all like best (i have a black on black bike)
3. do y'all think those are okay prices? and should everything wire up without too much problems.

I'm assuming you have fairings on the bike, so I like the second set of front blinkers.

I really like that tail light. I bought the Clear Alternatives light for about $100. Wish I saw that one you found first.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you need that signal generator. I've got LEDs in the front and the LED integrated tail light and I didn't need that. Just a couple of resistors.

if you use resistors you risk overheating them and using a lot of power for nothing.

True, but the resistors are on the rear blinkers only. So they never get a chance to really heat up. They were actually included with the Clear Alternatives kit.

And the power they use is comparable if not less than what the stock bulbs used. No issue there.

i have that tail light. it's very cool. get it!

I like the first link for the stalk turn signals.  But I guess it depends if you want flush or stalks, but those stalks are nice.  I really like that tail light tho, curious; would that work if you kept your rear signals or do you *have* to remove them and the tail light does it all?

u could use both, but the tail light does all 3. it's not really "legal" but that's the risk u run.

yeh, im going uber on my fenderectomy I HATE THE FENDER! I <3 how GSX-R tails look... so 1 more step towards that... Im going to cut off my fender at the bolts that hold it to the tail light area and use those 2 bolts along with some metal tabs to hold the plate...

Why the three wire relay? They have the 2 wire types that work with LED signals at Autozone/ Advanced.

no i sold my scuba gear and have a bit of money now to buy some parts...

I ordered the tail the flasher and the shortie stalks... gunna use the shortie stalks till I wrap my bike in CF vinyl at that point I'm going to replace the mirrors with either gsxr or the like.

or if i get a new set of black fairings I will keep the shorties and make my bike look like a 07ish bike with black tank and black rear fairing from a 09 model, I would just need to repaint my tank since the PO did such a horrid job and didn't put a protective coat on it to make it gas resistant...

I like clean lines on a bike an I def like CF but I also love the look of the 07 fairings...

I used a 3 wire on my 2 wire system. Make sure to ground out the unused 3rd terminal. Work fine and cheaper and nicer than resisters.

make sure htey are DOT approved. if not they are illegal. BUT ive yet to see a cop check THAT close lol

If the cop does tell him to look closer then bash his head into them then try n get away as quick as possible lol .

O_o dot shmot no cop in austin gives a f$%K about that stuff, I would be more likely to get pulled over for driving down the road with a doughnut... just kidding but the cops here generally have more important things to do or just don't care as long as your not a danger to others... a lot of bikes don't even have signals out here...

I recently bought lights like those in the first link (short stalk carbon fiber clear lens) and when I got them there was a sticker on the CF. When I pulled the sticker off the CF came with it!!

Was no big deal to me because I was going to VHT Niteshade them anyway so I went in the house and got some clear packing tape and used it to pull the rest of the CF off, then wet sanded everything with 2000 and niteshaded them.

But just BEWARE of those CF filmed lights

mine are perfect though the wiring needs to be done better...
