Laminar Lip just installed

And let me just say, for my position and size, the Lip is worth every penny.

It moved the wind blast from my upper chest and throat to the top of my helmet. It's basically stopped the bobbleheadedness and the pressure on my throat that caused fatigue.

Wind noise is still present, but a much better tone and much less annoying.

I'll report back after some more miles, but these were my first impressions after 30 min on the bike. Some stats: I'm 5'9" and have barbacks and risers on the bike.

Looks great!  Which lip did you buy?  I'd like to try one on my sport touring shield.
thanks.

Thanks...I got the S4141C, the one made for the GS500F stock windscreen. A little tricky to install if you're anal about even gaps and alignment, but it'll work out if you have a little patience. Good luck.

I installed the Laminar Lip a few months ago and it made a huge difference in wind buffeting.  The Lip + ear plugs make for comfortable hwy cruising.

wouldnt it just be easier to buy a replacement windshield that has a lip like those Zero Gravity ones...

and on the reply about wind noise and needing ear plugs... well wind noise is only present on cheep helmets (you shouldn't skimp on a lid) and helmets that aint fitted properly, a helmet should be snug and hard to put on and take off. it should also touch every part of your head like a balaclava but it shouldn't be that tight it gives you head aches.

I'll have to disagree with you on wind noise and cheap helmets.  My $150 Joe Rocket helmet is way quieter than my $400 AGV Ti Tech.  The JR helmet is almost much heavier.  I believe the lower end helmets use a cheaper, heavier insulation which is better at blocking road and wind noise.  The AGV helmet is louder, but I believe more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time.

Very nice!

I have a similar experience with the recent installation of a Zero Gravity Double Bubble replacement screen. It's not quite as high as the Laminar Lip but takes the pressure of the chest on the Highway. It makes a huge difference in comfort and is easy to install to boot.
