Before:

Now:

Took off fairings, new handle bars, new master cylinder, cleaned and lubed chain, new temporary headlights, gsf600 shock, wash and wax, new front tire.

looking good?

Looks good, but I'm partial to fairings so I like it better with the fairings on it.  Still good job on the way you did it.  The stacked lights looking hot and new bars are rocking.

Nice effect.
The stacked headlights make it look "trick"  :thumb:

Much better!
I am one of those who believes the GS500 should have never gotten fairings. It was purely a marketing gimmick. I say leave the fairing to the GSXR's, Ninja's, and so on. The heart of a GS500 is naked and that's the way I like 'em! Let's stop pretending we're riding superbikes, and embrace the purity of the GS500!
But again, that's just my personal preference....

Renthal bars. Got them for $15 used from a local bike shop (Rads cycle, tampa, Fl, good to do business with) with only a few scratches on them.

I love the naked look but severely dislike the headlight setup.

I appreciate the honesty though, some far its about 50-50 for people who love it and hate it, there isnt any real middle ground "eh its ok"

Yea, their 18 doller walmart 55 watt aux lights. And, right now only the top is plugged into the stock harness (not sure myself if i like it or not yet, but im not too fond of the huge single light, and the dominators are too much money).

Mate,  I like the lights and the handlebars,  they are minimal,  and give the setup a cool look. However, those headers!  Mine were like that until i painted them silver (i still have the fairings).

Have you finished doing it up.

Not yet, just got my new rear tire on, will have pics on later!

My old one was flat like a car tire.... And had an inner tube in it. guy looked at it, no, it DIDNT have a hole, the PO just used an inner tube with it...

It was leaking out the dryrot out the tire bc the inner tube tore, and leaked the pressure into the tire. Being tubeless, and having the air pressure of the tire pressing against the tubes valve stem, it lasted for a bit.

Scary shite.

with out reading the replys I would say go black on the motor the lower fork tubes and the bars and maybe a chrome exhaust would look fun bags.
