Hey all,
I have to go on a military base to work which means that I need to show my ID not once, but twice. One of these times is a scanning so I have to get it out of the plastic sleeve and on is just from a distance. I have a pair of alpine stars gloves and I have a really hard time getting the ID card out. I was thinking about cutting the tips off the thumb and pointer, but I thought that might be a bad idea safety wise and I don't want the gloves to unravel from the cut. Any ideas on how to cut them or alternative solutions?

Thanks!

Myself, I wouldn't cut my gloves or use fingerless gloves.  Asphalt is a very efficient abrasive against skin!  The Icon Milspec vest has two options for you.  One is a clear ID pocket that attaches to the outside of the vest with velcro.  On the other side of the vest is a pocket that could contain your ID, you would unzip and remove with gloves still on.

I use it, but am not military and the ID pockets blocked too much wind, so I cut them off.

All the bike riders of the military base near me use Sleeve ID holders.

Alternatively, put it in a small pouch looped around your neck. Or in your jacket pocket so it is easy to grab with your gloves still on.

we have photo id at work that has to be scanned as well... i got this black plastic card holder

same as this but mines black, i got rid of the lanyard and us a retractable sting clip thing. it has a metal alligator clip one end and a loop with a push button on the other and that works to hold the card to the holder (so the vibes from the bike dont make it fall out)
