Allright, so once I get my lunchbox/exhaust/jets, I been thinking.

I want my bike to be even cleaner, and all these wires and doo-dads and shaZam! really bug me. I want to be able to see threw my bike to the other side, clean and un-obstructed..

So, How about re-routing all the wiring and shaZam! to inside the frame, relocating the battery to where the stock airbox was, along with all the relays and stuff?

Crazy, been done before, go for it, information, help out?

Comments and thoughts are welcome before I waste a boatload of time on something that wont/can't work.

If ya want to do it (and apparently you want to do it) then do it.

I would wait for winter time to do it though.

Its my DD, its never winter in Florida, and I would do a set of wire at a time to keep it in operational condition.

I believe in one small project at a time, a small project per day off = Functional bike and higher probability of completion. I dont bite off more then I can chew.

Wonder if there're any legal issues with drilling into the frame, could it be regarded as a 'damaged' frame? I guess you can use some of the stock bolt-holes, if you have any that are unoccupied (I have a stripped F, so mine has some empty holes where fairing brackets used to be mounted).

Seems like a lot of work for minimal reward.  If people have done it before, any pics from anyone with hidden wiring?

Yeah, it does seem like a lot of work: couldn't you just tape/otherwise secure all wiring to the inside edge of the framebars, such that you'd have to be viewing a particular framebar from directly above/below to see the wiring? That would be much less work, would leave the wires accessible in case you need to repair/modify something and would still completely hide them from the vast majority of typical viewing angles.

I'm going with 'do something else,'...unless those pesky wires really bug you, where you can't sleep at night cause of their unsightliness!

makes sense. Ill scope out the wires next time i got the tank off and bike apart, hiding the wires behind the thick rectangular frame would prob work just fine.

You install a small LiPo battery with mini solar panel at each light, activate them via wi-fi from a central processor, pick up signals from brake and oil pressure switches the same way. You'd only need the wires from alternator to rec/reg and battery, and headlight. Throw the rest away!!
