OK, so my muffler FINALLY came in!

Isn't on yet, need to bring it to a welder, but I held it up to the stock and did some comparison pics!

Pic with ruler for size comparison

And holding it up to the bike, done by my beautiful sidekick/fiance!

This is going to look and be sweet.

The ID of the harley muffler is bigger then the ID of the stock muffler, so itll flow better....

And, I can always open it up some more.

That muff looks better than I thought it would and the side stand,I mean side kick is doing a good job for you.Is that about where you want it mounted,or did you just line up the frame mount tab?
PICS are GONE never TO return.

Just curious, do you have an accurate way to weigh both mufflers? Hopefully the Sporty muffler is at least a little bit lighter......

It's opener there in the wide open air...

I want to try to line it up to the frame bolt hole, and being more forward and into the bike cleans it up a bunch. With all the piping and huge stock muffler its replacing, it better be lighter!

It dont feel any heavier then a cherry bomb, if not its lighter.

xunedeinx

itssss DONEEEE!!

It looks sweet, it sounds damn good, and except for the exhaust leak (because the old ass clamp im using decided to strip) its awesome!

uploading cell phone pics now, will do high res and video when the cam charges (stupid battery died)

xunedeinx

Whats that peeking out from behind the rear tire?

Its OFF! (BTW, it sounded MEAN without a muffler...)

There's welder man making his mid-pipe

ANDDD its on!

Now, I need to sand and paint the exhaust, and get a clamp that isn't older then dirt and will seal the pipe to the muffler

Before shot

After shot

BOOYA, hows it look guys?

I held both at the same time (with the pipe cut off the origional to be fair)

Its easially more then half the weight, if not more. Unfortunately I didn't accurately measure it.

Looks cool.  Now we need a YouTube video to showcase how it sounds.

Uploading now. I think the recording isn't great though, it didn't really pick up any of the lows.

I really like the look.  And it sounds good to boot.

How would you say the sound is compared to the stock muffler?  Louder? Lower? etc?

Put a helmet.... nevermind... live free!  (really i don't care, just noticed, have fun).

Where did u get it again?  And it's for a sportster right? What year (does it matter?)?

:thumb:
I keep forgetting to turn the petcock on before i bolt down gas tank. :(

Louder at idle, but at 6+rpm its slightly louder, but the bike dont vibrate like you got a cat by the neck. high rpms seem pleasent now.

Got it on ebay, its for an 883/1200 sportster, 99 cents + shipping

and no, in person it dont sound like a lawn mower, its a lot deeper than stock.

I'm not 100% down with the look but it does sound pretty nice.  I'm sure once you have it all gussied up and finished it will look peachy keen.

crzydood17

and stock harley exhaust value just went up 10 fold...
