I don't know if this is a normal thing or something that I should get fixed.  When I sit my bike on the sidestand, as soon as the weight goes on it, it shifts about 2" on the ground, is there a split pin in the pivot that needs replacing due to wear? Or is this amount of play normal?

mister

Why are you sitting on your bike on the side stand?

Only way available in the garage at this point and time...

That's about normal, maybe closer to 1" for me but I'm small.

Also you should buy a chair.

Normal. Even my 2009 shifts an inch or two.

You need a chair

most of that movement is in the suspension... it makes the side stand re position itself

I can move my side stand about 3 inches. The hole in the frame is wollowed out.I could remove it and add a washer between the stand and frame but I'm to lazy to do it.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

My bad.

In which case, yeah, from where the side stand makes initial contact with the ground to where it finally stops moving, some distance is traveled. One inch, two inches, I think your bike is fine.

Haha, yes I'm not sitting on the bike. Just the bike sitting stationary. Thanks for the replies!
