I don't think it is ugly.
But i don't understand the temptation to put a 'gas' tank on the top of it (is that a hard case tank bag?).

At $43,000.... not a chance -- but that is what rich eccentric people are for.

If the Zero or Brammo were about $4,000 i would consider buying one (I am cheap, $9k is probably a fair-ish price considering).
(i have to admit that it's range would be okay for 90% of my rides.  (Well, the sora brammo would cover 99%[need another 20 miles to get to the ocean] of my range needs at 100 miles, with an over night charge to return home.)
The brammo is same weight as a GS, and is almost as fast for top speed (faster than i have been on my GS), and i would guess it comes off the line with a vengeance. 

Just wait, if you look back at trends, especially in electric things, you'll see that when the novelty wears off and they start producing more, the price comes way down----example, when basic calculators first came out they were selling for $175.oo, ( now $20.00 for a deluxe, does everything but fix your lunch ) VCRs were $1,500. ( now, if you can still find one--40 bucks )

I still say it's ugly.

I like the brammos and the zeros, but I'd really want more than 50-100 miles.

Gee I wish. My Ti-83 was $85! And I still have issues figuring out all of the STATS krap!

When they first came out all they did was add, subtract, multiply, and divide----I think you can pick one of those up now for $3.00. Digital watches were around $350.00 back in the 70s, now you can get a bushel of comparable Walmart Digitals for that price.

That's not much of an exaggeration!  As for the electric bikes we see in that link they're not all ugly I think, especially if you like bikes like the B-King.  I don't think electric bikes will ever become popular because they're too quiet.  Quiet bikes add more danger to an already dangerous situation.

To me the only ugly one is the top of the line super expensive one. I really wouldn't own one but I sure would like to take one for a spin----Especially that 125 mph bad boy.

Has anyone here ridden a electric motorcycle?

I tested Quantya last summer and it was great! I hope I get to ride one on track somday.
I don't care that it doesn't make a loud noise.  Nor does the GS, car drivers can't hear you over the radio and you hardly hear it over the wind noise.

If I would have the money, I would buy or build an electric motorcycle and keep "enginecycle" for longer jorneys.
