Like the horror movie villian that keeps comming back from the dead -

09/11/11 - update. Got a set of 5 from a new set. All the rest is the same ... $, item, material, bolts, shipping etc etc. Will attempt to get instant shipping here too, like boxed and stamped, just addressing and putting in my mailbox left ... But anyway they're here.

Still working on it, but machinist said he'd do some over the weekend out of material he had lying about. If it runs out good, we make some more ...

Title pretty much says it all. Except - only 5 left. May make more, this machinist is still alive (yes lost 1 that did stems to the big C I think).

Thick and shiny and very boxy and business looking covers with stainless bolts. I have a few boxed up already, have stamps on hand, so shipping inside US will be almost instant. I can drop em off in my mailbox. In fact I ruin my name by sitting on orders so long due to my inability to get stuff sent off in time ... this may be the first attempt I have made to fix that.

$35 shipped in US.

Can ship overseas too but shipping varies and time is also a bit longer cos I have to do customs forms @ PO.

Cool.

Update.
As of 08/24/11 - 1 left.

no that's another member's design..

Buddha's new batch looks like this:
if yer binders ain't squeakin, you ain't tweakin!

The Buddha

Yeaaaaay ... steezin/wheezin got one of those instant ship units ...
Well, it was the pre instant ship, where I decided to buy $35 worth of stamps and smuggle the 5 boxes I was going to need out of the PO ... shhhh ... postal fraud.

BTW I know of one local business that has a whole 2 bays of a 3 bay shop - full deal 20ft ceilings etc etc, like an auto shop, stuffed to the rafters with stuff packed in priority mail boxes with numbers on them. They pick up trash @ yard sales and yard sale rejects for nothing, and try to sell em on ebay, and they have a feedback of ~12 ... and 30,000 boxes of crap in the shop in priority mail boxes. And we wonder why the postals are losing $.

You should be required to pay postage on the boxes @ the time you pick em up. That is it. You dont mail it, or you find it dont fit ... screwed.

I got tons of Priority mail boxes lying round, but every one of em was used atleast 1 time. There are cases where I send carbs or stuff back in the same boxes it came to me in. I dont grab boxes just to sock em away full of my crap. Those boxes need to be paid for @ THE TIME YOU GET EM.

That will in a hurry turn their 80 billion loss into a nice big profit. And people who need boxes to ship stuff @ PO will find em when they need.

Anyway I totally am committing mail fraud ... so order up and I'll send it immediately and stop beign a criminal.

Trey has one of his, painted black. The one with the "S" in someone else's on Junior. The other one I got from Buddah is on one of the bikes in West Seattle. I forget which one right now. They're pretty strong and thick. If you scratch 'em, just buff it out. Would take many years to ever buff through all that aluminum.

Now you know why we put engine bars or crash slider bobbins on our bikes. Keeps the side covers from getting scratched (well, most of the time)

Twisted

Love my "Buddha" Stator cover. Looks better than OEM once you get a bit of metal polish on to it.

The Buddha

Yea ... its almost smooth enough to straight up do polish without sanding.
It does have a bit of machining coolant for those who swing that way ... I know I do.
Love the smell of cutting fluid in the morning.
Some of these instant ship models have some machining dust inside em too. I forgot to wipe em clean as I boxed em ... oops. The 1 @ a time deals were a bit more thorough ... boxed up now, too late to clean.
BTW I need to retain 1 in case I wanna make more ...
1 has been bought by zwerski.

Last 3 ... pay up today, and you'd be bolting em on by friday night (inside contigous US only) for your sat ride.

Combine with jets for $20 more (instant ship may still apply ... I think I can wiggle the jets into the pack via the edge).

See with the instant ship I also become cheesy imformercial (RIP Billy Mays) guy. And the white powder it aint oxy clean ...

Cool.

And sorry I cant do instant ship on 01+ jet pack with these, the bolts for the floats seem to be never ending back ordered ... WTH is going on guys, I think we are becoming a 3rd world country, First 40 pilots, now 4mm bolts.

Should I make more round covers ? I did sell the last lot out ~12 or so pretty fast. And I have located a machinist who has the equipment, knowledge and does need the work (I try to find local mom/pop machinists instead of some machining corporation ... ) and I have 1 of the same set as prototype so it will be identical.

Cool.

The Buddha

Yea ironically the first 4 went fast, the last 1 had 2 guys waffle ... meanwhile the machinist has been chewing on the other one I gave him for 2 weeks ...
Anyway I'll ship to canada no issues there, but what $$$ ... no idea ... make it $15 and I'll refund you ...
