The 89 clip on's while perfect in nearly every way do have 1 defect when fitting on 90-00. The brake banjo will hit your dash top plate. It happens on the 89 too especially if you fit thicker grips. On the kat FE it happens a bit more cos they are shorter tubes. That is with stock 89 handle tubes.
For a limited time (meaning till I am out of Kat FE's and I am very close to that point ) buy an 89 clip on or a kat FE and you get tubes (brand new out of 1/8th wall DOM) free.
How does it solve the problem. These will be cut 1 inch longer than stock so you can move the banjo away from the dash.
I can also banana these for use on an 01+ also FREE.
I can also sell the tubes to anyone who wants it. $20 for a pair - right to fit 1 GS.
These will only take press in bar ends not the stock type weld in that came on the earlier years.
If you already have made a deal to buy 89's or Kat FE dont worry, I have these factored in.

Dude ... 3 year old thread ... Maybe I got some, but it cost ya more than free ... say 20 and ship. I am talking about 1 inch longer, drilled ends for press fit bars and 1/18th wall DOM tubing and powdercoated ... if I have it. Stock crap ... I dont think I ahve a decent pair.
