Heya everyone!

So I'm currently wanting to modify my bike a bit, and I were considering a new tail as one of the options.

Although, my problem is that in my Homecountry I'm not alloved to weld and change to structure of the bike in a way, such as grinding off the tail and welding a new one.

So I were wondering if it is impossible to get a new tail just by making new brackets and such to hold it on the bike? Wanting to use a R1 tail or something like that.

Otherwise I'm pretty limited to new headlights (Done that already), paintjobs, new exhaust (want twins, so working on that atm on how to do so).

Other suggestions to my problem will also be appreciated!

If 1989-2000, see pix of my bikes posted over the past year. I'm quite fond of the Gimbel seats from Germany. Very sporty and sort of cafe style. Also their rear sets. They do come with paperwork that they are certified after market parts (at least for Germany, so you should be OK).

I guess, if you want an R1 tail, why not get an R1? The Gimbel seats gave me a one of a kind bike like no one else has.

I bought it used (from someone in the UK parting out a bike) and made some repairs & repainted it to match Junior.

Where did you get the seat from, i have a 89 and was looking at a corban seat, I also like yours. What is price in dollars.

You are right, if I wanted a R1 seat, then I might as well get the R1 instead. But as you, then I want something special. And that's why I also got a Gs 500 F headlight without the fairing on. I want something special which I would consider having a R1 tail on a Gs500.

I have also been looking @ those Gimbel Seats, are they comfortable and easy to put on and such? Is it worth it? (Lookwise, it most certainly is!)

How difficult is it to mount the gs500f headlight to a non-f bike? Did you make custom brackets?

I just used the old brackets from the round headlight and bent them a bit so they fitted. Other use universal brackets. It gives great vision/light and looks AMAZING imo atleast. Especially in the dark.
