so i f ed up and somehow stripped the chain tension bolt i cant get the chain tightened or take the bolt off.. it just sits there and spins  >:(

By the way it spins on the threads, not on the top of the bolt where the wrench goes!

Does anyone know if it is hard to replace that whole tightening screw system? or what are my options here???

I've never had to actually remove it, but the adjuster just rattles loose in the swingarm when the rear axle is removed, so I imagine it's just a matter of pulling the rear axle out to pull out the adjuster.

Since I'm guessing here I am of course standing by for someone to correct me by saying "nein, Sie muessen den Schwinge entfernen" telling you that the whole swingarm must be dropped to get it out, and that the swingarm must then be heated with an oxy torch whilst the adjuster is blasted with liquid CO2 as it's pulled out with a hydraulic ram, but I just don't think it's in that tight.

Have you thought of asking the parts whores?

It pulls right out after you pull the axle, if it's the one on the left (chain) side just pull the axle far enough to release it.  It's a dealer item you can get from BikeBandit or any of the others with online parts fiches.  Probably faster to get thru local dealer and not a lot difference in price.

lmfao adidasguy i was just thinking to myself... "wonder if adidasguy has one??"

lol i also found a few on ebay, and yes it is on the right hand side so it shouldnt be to insanely hard to get it out..

and on a separate note, can someone explain to me how to adjust the rear wheal??? can you slide it forwards and back?
also how to get it centered! !!!

plz and thank you!!

As I recall, left and right is the same. Iz haz Gots a bazillion in zee bike cave. Can mail a pair out like $5 flat rate box and a dollar or two for some beers. PM me if interested. Can send out tomorrow. Going out sorting parts, etc. in the cave so I'll get back later or if I wander back inside. Got other parts going out tomorrow to other people.

Adjusting: There's info on that in books and WIKI.
Yes - wheel can slide forward and back if axle bolt loose. If tight - it will stay in place.

Remove axle to replace chain adjusters. They slide in then you put through the axle bolt. Don't have to remove anything else. Put a block under the wheel so it stays in place for easier re-insertion (no, that is not a sexual innuendo) if playing with it by yourself.
