so my headlight dims when ever i hit my breaks... i have also noticed that it kinda surges when im driving and let off the gas.

in a car i would be looking at the alternator but on a bike... well lets just say im a noob! 

soo what would cause this and how to fix this?

on a separate note, dose your bike ever go into neutral on its own when down shifting?

Could be the stator. Has 3 wires. Between each pair there should be about 6 to 8 ohms resistance.

Could be - more likely - your voltage regulator. That also could mean you are not charging the battery.
Check voltage at battery. Whatever it is, when bike running it should hover around 14.0 to 14.5 volts. If lower- you're not charging so replace the regulator.
If you rev the bike and the voltage goes high or lower, then also bad regulator.

The third possibility is a bad battery. If it can't hold a charge, then the voltage is low and the added load of the brake light will make the headlight dim. Same happens if the voltage regulator is bad and you're not charging.

im gonna have to look into that voltage regulator, i dont have any issues with my battery. but ill truble shoot just like you wrote on here!

Your lights dim and get brighter depending on revs - and thus charge going back to battery - and you say there are no battery issues? What guidelines are you using to decide you have no battery issues?

Easiest thing to check is the battery. Check the fluid levels. Low fluid and the battery will struggle, dimming and brightening are the result. Costs nothing to double check the battery but a few minutes of time. Rule this out for sure first before going on to other things.

Assume nothing, get it load tested. I wouldnt tackle any charging related problem without first ensuring the battery is 100% sevicable.

I had something similar when I drove home today (it's getting dark at 5pm now). I did a quick check and it turned out my battery connector was a bit loose. After tightening it up everything was fine again.
