For Sale.. make me a reasonable offer.. Engine parts for 89 to 97 G500.
89 Cylinder head good condition. (with cams if you want)
97 cylinder with pistons that where running in it and one extra.
Good crankshaft with rods and one extra rod. (ignition pin needs to be loctited in but other than that a great crankshaft, completely useable)
All other 89 engine parts except the engine case and tranny.
I also have a nice stock exhaust
Airbox

The plan If I can pull it off is to drop an RD400 engine into my 89 GS500 chassis. EdE

What happened to the engine/cases? Have you miced the crankshaft journals to confirm that they are okay?

EdE

I've got the cases (though there is a little damage to them from when she lost her left  Rod bearing) I wanted to keep the cases and tranny "for now" in hopes that I can find an RD400 engine at a descent price. It would allow me to measure everything up and set the countershaft sprocket in the right spot. I haven't miced the crank but it came from a forum member out of a know runner. Ed

For what it's worth, I can't find any oversize rod bearings for the GS500. The service manual specifies a fairly wide clearance as being within serviceable condition, but there's very little chance of getting the crank journal back into the standard clearance range without spending more than the crank is worth on repairs.

Hi,
I'm interested in the carbs.
Can you tell me any more about them?
Are they complete?
Undamaged?
What year are they from?
I'd like a spare set for my 1991 GS500E if they are cheap enough and in good shape.
Let me know and thanks,
Trwhouse  :)

Where are you in LA? I might take the rotating assembly off your hands. What are you looking to get for it?

I'm downtown.. hit me up w/ a pm and maybe we'll meet up.

You wouldn't happen to have a junk head I could steal a cam end cap off of? If not how much for the head?
