Hey people,
Has anyone purchase one of these?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Suzuki-GS500F-GS500E-04-09-IXIL-Short-INOX-Oval-Exhaust-/150568690906?pt=AU_Motorcycle_Parts_Accessories&hash=item230e97e4da

If so what do you think? Worth the money??

Cheers

That is a pretty good price for an IXIL slip on. Only ever heard them on you tube though. Just google GS500 ixil and they will come up. I purchased my Screaming Demon pipe from this eBay seller and had no dramas.

Yeah the same Ebay seller had the Screaming Demon also at their Ebay store. I am just wondering what the short Ixil slip on will look like??

Also do you think I will have to rejet?

Cheers

Hi Leigh101,
I got the Screaming Demon for a xmas prezzie, installed it myself, without re-tuneing or rejetting, and it runs fine.  A few of the older guys I know that ride told me that the Jap bikes come out of the factory pretty rich, so it shouldn't need rejetting.  I haven't noticed and flat spots/hesitation etc.
In saying that, the bike is going in to have the valves done shortly, so I am gonna get the carbs balanced and checked at the same time just to be safe.

Our bikes are VERY lean from factory.

You may not notice it now, but it is eating away at your valves if you put on a more free flowing exhaust. Buy some jets for 20 bucks and protect your baby :)

You'll notice the difference.

indeed. it takes maybe an hour to rejet. ( removing tank/airbox and tubes to carbs. and removing carbs. enough to get into the bowls. )

Rejet is asking for trouble and all sorts.
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.
