There's no reason not to. Removing the cat is always a good choice unless you live in California or Australia where the govt. prefers to have it's hands in everything you do based on non-existent evidence. Check your local laws, if you have to smog your bike every year you probably shouldn't remove the cat (or if you do figure out a way to hot-swap it only for the test).

Even if cutting out your cat doesn't turn your bike into a busa you'll still find the bike is healthier altogether. Anytime you remove a blockage from the bike's ability to breathe the bike will treat you better.

No I live in Florida where we don't have inspections. The state try to years ago and I guess forgot we live on a peninsula  :cookoo: and saw no improvement before during or after the time the inspections occurred so they stopped checking.
